Located along Route 127, west of Vetlanda and in the middle of beautiful Småland, you will find Sävsjö and Sävsjö Camping – a cozy family campsite in the very heart of the region.
We offer a personal experience in a relaxing environment, with Lake Eksjöhovgårdssjön as your closest neighbor. In the lake, there is an island featuring a historic ruin built by Sten Sture the Younger. At the campsite café, you can purchase a picnic basket to enjoy on the island or along the scenic walking trail surrounding the lake. For those traveling with dogs, four-legged friends are warmly welcome and will likely never want to leave this beautiful area!
Accommodation Options
Sävsjö Camping offers pitches with electricity, many of which boast beautiful lake views, including some designated seasonal spots. The campsite also features tent pitches in a lovely green area and ten cozy cabins. Each cabin is equipped with two bunk beds, providing a total of four berths.
Duvets and pillows are included, while bed linen can be brought from home or rented at reception. The cabins feature a kitchenette with a refrigerator for easy meal preparation. Guests are responsible for cleaning before check-out, but if you'd rather focus on your holiday, affordable final cleaning services are available for purchase.
Services and Facilities
Guests have access to a well-equipped service building with showers, toilets, and a kitchen, located directly adjacent to the reception and Sten Sture's Café. The café offers a wide range of ice cream, light lunches, and "fika" (coffee and treats), which can be enjoyed in the glassed-in sunroom or on the spacious wooden deck. Breakfast is also served at certain times.

Right next to the campsite, you will find a family-friendly swimming area with a diving tower, a padel hall, an outdoor gym, mini-golf, a playground, a BBQ area, hiking trails, mountain bike tracks, and trail running routes.
Sävsjö Camping is close to numerous activities and attractions. A family water park with adventure pools is located nearby, alongside the outdoor gym and both indoor and outdoor padel courts. It is also within walking distance of Sävsjö town center. If you want to meet the locals, take a stroll around the beautiful lake! The town center is characterized by Sävsjö Garden, where lush green spaces and floral displays define the town's charm.
If you need a break from swimming, the campsite café is very inviting. Here, you can buy both cold and hot drinks as well as homemade cookies—the scent of which often wafts across the grounds. As the warm evening sets in after dinner, you can rent lawn games like Kubb, pick-up sticks, or number games for the perfect end to the day.

The Sävsjö Häradsväg between Vallsjö and Norra Ljunga is a scenic 20 km route showcasing Småland's stunning landscape. The road winds past lakes, forests, and fields, through the town of Sävsjö, which is a historic 19th-century railway community.
Along the way, there are many interesting sites to explore, such as Eksjöhovgård, medieval churches, and rune stones—where history meets modern tourism.
